Dr. Linda Okai is a dedicated physician specializing in the fields of adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, driven by a profound commitment to health equity and community well-being.
A native of Maryland, Dr. Okai's academic journey began at Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Public Health. This early focus laid the foundation for her understanding of health disparities, preventative care, and the societal factors influencing individual health outcomes.
She continued her education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she obtained her medical degree. Following medical school, Dr. Okai pursued rigorous training in general psychiatry, completing her residency at the Delaware Psychiatric Center which was then followed by a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Morehouse School of Medicine. As a board-certified adult psychiatrist and a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, she possesses a comprehensive skill set for diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of mental health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.
