
Jolie Fritz (Jo), LCPC, LPC
Psychotherapist
Jo lives in Wisconsin and provides comprehensive DBT services via telehealth. She is licensed in MD, MN, VA and WI. Jo has unique background with an undergraduate degree in Equestrian Science from William Woods University, Fulton, MO and masters in Community Psychology from Alverno University, Milwaukee, WI. Jo completed her internship at The Center For Behavioral Medicine in Brookfield, WI, one of the first Linehan Certified clinics in the country. Jo’s experience prior to joining Healthy Foundations/Heartwood includes providing comprehensive outpatient DBT with DBT Center of Greater Washington for a year and a half. The majority of Jo's career has been working at a residential level of care. She was the Lead Therapist at a comprehensive adolescent DBT residential program in Wisconsin. Jo currently serves as the Clinical Services Supervisor at the same residential and is responsible for training and supervision of the therapists, skills trainers and support staff. She is intensively trained in DBT-PE and has taken two intensive trainings with Alan Fruzzetti on working with emotionally dysregulated families/couples (a which is a passion of hers). Jo is also co-creator and co-host of the international DBT podcast "All Therapists Are Jerks." She works with individuals, families and the community to help reduce stigma, increase understanding and empower individuals and communities to create meaningful change. Most recently Jo and her podcast co-host Erik Ulland, MD had the honor of providing DBT training for clinicians and community members in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Jo believes that everyone can benefit from the philosophies, principles and skills of DBT and uses skills daily in her own life. In her spare time, Jo enjoys traveling, live music, kayaking, hiking, and chilling with her friends, two young adult daughters and her geriatric cat, Zeta. Jo is excited to continue her passion for DBT and helping others through Healthy Foundations/Heartwood.
