She also worked for a domestic violence private practice working with children impacted by experiencing trauma in their home and being court ordered to therapy. In 2012, Betty began her experience in the outpatient DBT world at Rathbone and Associates. In that time, she has gone through several intensive trainings including DBT with adolescents, Behavioral Tech trainings on DBT, DBT-PE trainings and individual supervision with Melanie Harned, DBT with families with Alan Fruzetti, and participated in a course for professionals on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. In 2019, Betty also joined the DBT team at the DBT Center of Greater Washington. At this time, her shift focused on working with adults and also adding experience in DBT parent coaching.
